PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The Venturi meter works on the Bernoulli principle. As fluid flows through the converging section, velocity increases and static pressure drops at the throat. The pressure difference between the inlet and the throat is measured and used to calculate flow rate. The diverging section then recovers most of the lost pressure, resulting in low permanent pressure loss
